I loved our hotel (Galleria Park in SF) it was so cute and made a great background for all of our getting ready photos.
tip: When serching for hotels really take a look at the decor. If its BLAH...remember its going to live on forever in your photos. One of the reasons I picked the Galleria Park was because the decor and colors were so great...I think our pics turned out much better because of it.
ATTIRE
This shot of my shoes is great...they were Grace purchased from Haute Bride.
They went really well with my dress but hurt like HECK!
My dress was so pretty. I wish I could wear it again and again and again
My bouquet was off the hook. It turned out perfect...it was lush and fluffy just like I asked. It was a little larger than I expected (weighed a ton) but was still everything I hoped for. (Passiflora Designs)
I love this ring shot. My band was from Brilliant Earth. H's band is from Tungsten Forever.
GETTING READY
I had a really hard time finding someone to do my hair. Since my hair is short none of the stylists I contacted had any great ideas as to how to style me. One even suggested that I get extensions because its more "bridal"...the NERVE!
I think Jill from Sublime Salon in SF did a perfect job. I still looked like myself but felt like she kicked it up a notch.
The headband added the perfect amount of bling. I loved it.
Tux's were from Mens Warehouse. They were easy to work with and everything turned out great.
H ended up getting his tux shirt from Nordstrom and having it fitted.
Since he is tall and thin the MW shirts didnt really look that great. They were to baggy on the sides and in sleves. He ended up looking much more polished having a perfectly fitted shirt.
I love this one of my Dad helping H get ready
H got the ivory tie and vest. The shirt was white.
The final look :)
Makeup was by Lisette Weavil of Creative Eyez.. She did the bride, BM's and Moms. Everyone looked amazing.
She is so talented.
H writing his speech. Cute.
My ladies helping me get dressed
The knot of death.
My dress had an Obi knot in the back which was a lil complicated. The bridal salon showed my Mom how to tie it and she practiced a few times.
She was so nervous! She did a great job and it stayed pretty all night.
Final makeup touches
Earrings are from Haute Bride.
All ready!!!!
Necklace from Etsy seller Teleecouture
mmmm....smells good.
( the bouquet was bigger than my head..haha)
Me and my MOH.
Checking to see if all the guests got on buses so we could leave the hotel.
My girls. They looked so good!
Dresses were Siri in choc brown with gold sash.
Lounging in that dress was not easy.
The boys - Looks like they got a lil McD's for the road
Entourage?
Chapel Details
Presidio Main Post Chapel
Programs that I SLAVED over. Wish I had a better pic of them.
Lanterns for the pews.
tip : I did a walk thought with our DOC at the chapel about 2 weeks before the wedding. We realized we would need pew clips to hang the lanterns. I thought I could just loop the ribbon around edge of pew. That wasnt happening. I was able to borrow pew clips from the florist.
Walk throughs are a good thing.
Chapel arrangement and unity candle.
tip: We were able to save money by using the chapel arrangement as decor for the cocktail hour. I made sure the florist noted in the contract that THEY would move it after the ceremony to reception location. I didnt want any of my family members getting stuck lugging it around.
We got a string trio from "Music to go". They did a great job and the price was good.
Arriving at Chapel
tip: My hair stylist suggested that we put my veil on at the chapel rather than at hotel. It was a good idea ...that way it didnt get tugged on and crushed on the limo ride. She showed my BM's how to put it on and pin it.
Processional
My neices are SO cute!
FG dresses are from Marshalls ($29.99)
tip: If you shop at discount stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross around Easter you
will find really cute dresses for CHEAP.
Ceremony
The ceremony was such a blur. I seriously dont remember anything the officiant said.
I think the look on my face says it all. I was in a daze for sure.
Bouquet = heavy
